Kiwanis Club Builds Ramps

The Kiwanis Club in Ishpeming has been building ramps at homes around western Marquette County for 26 years. Early this summer, the club celebrated the completion of its 300th ramp in the area.

Disability Network’s Ramp Up

The group of volunteers have been building ramps as part of Disability
Network’s Ramp Up program for 8 years and have built 53 ramps
throughout Kalamazoo County.

Description:

Ramp Building is a year-round program with emphasis on our annual Ramp Blitz held in June and our Nexteer build held in the fall. Our ramp building brings professional contractors together with community volunteers to construct our ramps. All constructed ramps are professionally built, measured and designed. At the completion of each ramp, an inspector approves the ramp assuring that each ramp meets all requirements of the township, city and ADA codes.
